I have been looking in the maps on my USB Stick and this are the coins i have (sometimes very small amounts) beginning with an "A"
- alcohoin (ALC)
- amerocoin (AMX)
- astrocoin (ASR)
- atom (ATO)
- apecoin (APE)
- applecoin (APC)
- alphaomegacoin (AOC)
Does someone know if there coins still have any value or are dead. If they are dead is there a possibility that they come back in the future?

Oy, I haven't even heard of any of those.  Can an altcoin even be traded if nobody's mining it or whatever?

This are coins i have collected about 2 years ago. Most of them had a topic here on the forum.
I had off all these coins a wallet downloaded and took a backup that i now have on a stick.
BUt i don't have any information about them anymore.
They probably disappeared very quick.

Is there a chance that the coins i mentioned here above will have any value in the future or are they dead forever?
Is it possible that a coin stops for a while, a year or so, and suddenly become again alive?

I dont want to burst your bubble but i have a feeling all of them are dead. I haven even heard of these to be honest, maybe i have seen some of them for a moment but that is about it. Altcoins simply dont work in this manner, you cant "get and forget" it like bitcoin since pretty much all of them are just shitcoins for momentary value. If you are looking to invest into some of them do some research and you could find a few. CLAM might be worth looking into for example.

I have learned to know most of them here on the forum about a year and a half ago.
I think i should better have sold them in the beginning i had them, because some of them had a value on some exchanges.
I think it is so with a lot of new altcoins. In the beginning (a few months) they have a little bit of value , but all of sudden you don't find anything at all about them.
SOme stay for a long time, but the problem is to know which are good  and which are not.
I have been stop following it for a few months and all of sudden they are no longer in the news and on exchanges.

Sounds like blatant pump and dump schemes to me. I haven't heard of any of these either.

You probably should search them up on Cryptsy, Yobit, C-Cex and see how they value Wink

I have been looking on these exchanges, but none of them have these coins.
I 'll keep them on my usb stick and maybe one day they will come alive again. Or isn't that possible anymore, once they are no longer alive?

DOes someone know something more about these coins :

Happy to help, I guess you musta found the coinmarket.com search facility too challenging.

As it happens, I've just upgraded the CSS framework on minkiz.co and your list gave me an opportunity to spot-check the UI. Two of your coins are still listed on an exchange, one even has some liquidity ...

- nanotoken (NAN) https://minkiz.co/coin/155/ ($ 0.000050) https://www.cryptsy.com/markets/view/NAN_BTC
- coinyecoin (COYE) - https://minkiz.co/coin/1279/
- alphaomegacoin (AOC) - https://minkiz.co/coin/12/
- applecoin (APC) - https://minkiz.co/coin/13/ ($ 0.015437) http://www.btc38.com/trade.html?mk_type=cny&btc38_trade_coin_name=apc
- fckbankscoin (FCK) - https://minkiz.co/coin/596/
- graincoin (GRA) - https://minkiz.co/coin/100/
- globe (GLB) - https://minkiz.co/coin/93/
- etoken (eTOK) - https://minkiz.co/coin/619/
- QQcoin (QQC) - https://minkiz.co/coin/571/
- 2CHcoin (2CH) - https://minkiz.co/coin/2/

You can look up nearly any altcoin by name: https://minkiz.co/coin/name/ or by trading symbol: https://minkiz.co/coin/symbol/.

For convenience, there's an up-to-date list of exchanges: https://minkiz.co/exchange

If you're into semweb, you can fossick away to your heart's content by grabbing the entire RDF graph (2600+ coins), which is on http://github.com/DOACC/individuals. Documentation for DOACC is now accessible on https://doacc.github.io (examples are currently lagging slightly behind the DOACC dataset)

Merry Christmas.

Cheers

Graham,

Thank you very much!!!
This is a very nice post you have made and helps me a lot further.
I'm surely going to have a look at the links you wrote in your post.
I will see what i can do with the coins i mentioned in my first post and also look if a few other old altcoins i have do still have any value.
Merry Christmas as well and thanks a lot for the help.
