Do you think Putin will rule Russia for life?
Is there anyone, whom do you consider a viable replacement at this point?
Are there really options for someone new to take over after Putin's presidency will end?
Personally, I think he will. He has no legal obstacles not to go for next elections, he's probably the only candidate to win.

No, I think after several decades Russia will have a new president. I don't think he will rule when he is 90 years old.

I was hoping Putin would rule Russia for the life of Russia. What I mean is, when Putin goes, Russia dissolves. Any people who do not have self rule are stranded to the ideology or others. The name for this kind of ideology is "slavery."

Vladimir Putin will hold on to power as long as Mother Russia is willing to let him hold on to power. Funny thing is about the process by which Mother Russia let's her leaders know when it is time to leave, it is often sudden, not seen coming & you do not get to take much with you when you are let go. So few leave positions of power in Mother Russia on their own terms.

Depends on the price of crude oil. If the price stays low for another 2 - 3 years, Russia's economy will collapse, and Putin will have to flee or be killed.

For society like Russian, having life time "ruler" is normal thing, so i guess Putin will rule there just like Stalin till he dies. Democracy dont work in backward societies.

god willing. putin has restored russia to greatness and protects the tradition and christian values. there is no better man in the world.
|
Be radical, have principles, be absolute, be that which the bourgeoisie calls an extremist: give yourself without counting or calculating, don't accept what they call ‘the reality of life' and act in such a way that you won't be accepted by that kind of ‘life', never abandon the principle of struggle.

I dont think Putin will rule Russia for life, no one can do this i guess. But at this stage there is not any replacement for Russia. He is the only man who described the point of view of Russia to all over the world, and othe leader by eye to eye contact. No one even a courage to says US and allies "NO". So in these conditions Russia have only one chioce , Putin.

Perhaps he will be Russia's president for life. I'd say that is very probable at the rate of making enemies he has.

This is a worrying sign. But Moscow is a lot more white, when compared to the other cities in the Western Europe. 1.1 million out of the 22 million living in Moscow (metro) are Muslims, which corresponds to a figure of 5% of the total population. On the other hand, in Brussels and London, the figure is above 25% and it is rising fast.
