Is it because these are out of stock that they go so much higher than market price?

I think that's how supply and demand works. Wink
Lol.  I should have worded that differently.

Are they still out of stock everywhere?

Meh.. I bought it because I've wanted one, and I've got the BTC available.
People have to stop hoarding BTC and start using it if it's going to be a viable currency.

First off the PIs rock for the price if you like Linux and CLi.  The GUI is a bit lacking, remember its an ARM v6 at 700mhz that you can overlock to 1 ghz. I compiled OpenGL for cgminer and got ~120 Khash, on Turbo Mode (1 ghz) about 170 to 180 Khash.

I also tried to let it control my cairnmore1 via USB, while it does work the PIs lose Ethernet connection a few hours or less into mining so I use an old PC still. There has been some developers discussion around the Ethernet/USB as its all on the same Chip and needing to fix it in code. When not polling the serial interface over the USB they keep Ethernet up for weeks no problem. So if it works for you for your FPGAs please let me know!

I ordered a few for play things, used one with my 11 year old for his 'Invention' fair project @ school. Used it to control a 5v relay to control a 110v small water pump to water moms flowers twice a day for 5 seconds (used Cron to schedule the job). Using Python to control the on/off of the 3v GPIO board and had to use a 1v transistor to open up flow from an outside 5v power supply to the relay, That was a bit tricky.

Google MagPi great online magazine for Pi. In 8th issue. Trying to kick start a physical version. Great reading!

If anyone want Buy another at 4bc shipped (US) let me know. I have 2 extras sitting in the box for a few months. I ordered 5 back in August. Took like 4-6 weeks for delivery due to back orders.

I am going to try to get Mame running on one and see how they do for retro 80s video games.

--Ted

Ps typed I this out on my Ipad, sorry for any typos.
