Unbelievable: Bitcoin Exchange Coinbase Bans User Who Helped Save Millions

This is really an unbelievable story! Bitcoin exchange Coinbase has allegedly banned a user who helped fix a major Vault exploit that could have resulted in millions of dollars in losses. The user took to popular social platform Reddit to share his side of the story.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Seems to be M.O. for most Bitcoin companies that offer bug bounties. They want the help of skilled people to find things such as this, then a catch-22 occurs.

I could care less about Coinbase though, and what happens to them. r/bitcoin is littered with posts of folks that have had their accounts closed or suspended. I gave up on them a long time ago, preferring not to buy my bitcoins from nazis.
