It's hard for me to pinpoint the very first one exactly but it was probably something like Paperboy for the Spectrum lol. Used to love playing that as a kid.

As far as stand-up arcade games, I'd say it was either Space Invaders or Asteroids. For home systems, Pong. It is hard to even imagine now, but I remember visiting my grandfather's and he had bought the home version of Pong and it was amazing to to be able and sit and play this game. The first console I owned was the Atari 2600, my favorite to this day would be the old ColecoVision system.

FWIW, I think the earliest recollection of playing a game was either Breakout on the 2600, or Astrosmash on the Intellivision.
