Can anyone explain this?  It seems the quickest I can expect to get coins of an exchange these days is about 12hrs. Is there any reason for this?  I'm sure it's more than possible to do in a few minutes.

Trex,  it's only a 0.1 withdrawal but it's been 12 hours so far.  I'M not accusing them off anything because I know I will get my coin but why the delays?

The last one I used which was also 12hrs + was cryptsy but that's to be expected.

If you have multiple layers of security activated, for example mail. Then u must confirm the withdrawl in order to go through. If u have not confirmed it, it will not do anything.

If you have confirmed it, then contact the support and tell them your story.

My withdraw from bittrex has been very good. Confirmation email took less than 1 minute and actual transaction was sent within 10 minutes. I withdrew more than 0.1btc even. May be hot wallet was empty and they need to refund the wallet which could take more time than usual.

Normally I used to sell or buy through localbitcoins.com. Even I find these kind of delayment while traders send to bank account. Bank use to take little high processing time. I think these time delaying is occurring on all exchanges I think.

I have been using YOBIT the last time as exchange for several coins.
It went always very fast, within an hour the coins arrived in my deposit adress.
If i sent some coins back to my wallet on computer, the transaction was always done within an hour.
I have only a problem with my Emercoin (EMC), but i think it is because this coin will disappear from the exchange.

Exchanges have been hosed in the past; many are remiss to fully automate withdrawals, lest something go wrong and they find out all their coins have disappeared. Plus, fee-wise, it's more efficient to batch withdrawals together in as big of transactions as possible.

If you need your coins to be spendable at a moments notice, you ought to keep them in a wallet you control, not in someone else's hands.

I forgot all about the confirmation email,  just checked my email and it went into junk which is why I missed it. Looks like this is down to user error.  Sorry bittrex.

After confirming the email I actually have my coin in hand so can't complain.  Manual confirmation from the exchange side seems to be a common thing I think though.

I sort of got you when you said bittrex cause it's well reputed exchange and e-mail confirmation is what people are not quite used to .Lock the topic.

Some exchanges insist as the security check or/and cold storage as the reason of the pending time. We should understand it but it spoils the benefit of bitcoin coin transfer vs banks. Domestic bank transfer could be real-time in some countries and much better for.

I expect more exchanges implement both speedy and secured coin transfer system.  Smiley

Never had any issue with Bittrex, one of the most professional exchanges there is. Withdrawals have always been almost instant.

For security, your account has been locked. Email acctcomp15@theymos.e4ward.com

I am also having same issue but with bitfinex from few days they are taking more than hour for withdrawl of coin.
The possible reason as said by them and may be for other exchanger is the fund they have in their hot wallet from where every withdraw request get completed.

It's going to sound like I'm shilling here, but I'm not really--when I withdraw funds from Yobit from the sig campaign, it takes seconds to get the funds to my wallet.  I've used Cryptsy before and also Coinbase, and both of them could take hours sometimes.  Not sure why that is.  Transferring bitcoin should be very fast.  BTW, I'd stay far away from Cryptsy.

If you transfer your bitcoins from wallet to trading site account will take 30 to 45 mins to move to that account first, then If you wanna sell your bitcoins Just check the right traders according to trust and price rate of him. Mostly I use to do through localbitcoins in this method.

12 Hours is not normal, I recommend using exchanges such as Bittrex or Poloniex. They offer low exchange fees, have good trading API, and usually process withdrawals in a few minutes.
