I don't know where you live but in my part of the world almost nobody know about bitcoin, only a few people.
So, I really don't know, maybe in some parts of the world many more people know and have interest in bitcoin, but I doubt about it.
Bitcoin is still not mainstream so it's to early to say ''The World has become Fixated on Bitcoin''.
Wait a few years and this may become truth.

I partially agree with you. The part of the world is fixated on the concept bur it's yet to reach the other parts of the world to even realise it's existance. As far as the wall Street guys are concerned, they will start trading the btc if it is globally accepted in the market. You know how the US market affects all the dollar accepting trading countries.

I think that we are yer very, very, very away from that your have written in your main post. If even 10% of the world population will have knowledge about bitcoin and will want to have at least 1 bitcoin the price of it would be much more higher. You are confusing our hopes and our desires with the reality. Bring yourself on Earth because staying in the Moon can be dangerous. It is not there the environment on which it is possible to live.

alot of people know what it is. alot of people want one. many people try to get one. but when you first have one, you think your special. the only one in your town that has one.. but as time goes on, reading newspapers you start to see other people with one too, you may see one drive through your town and realise its not special.. the more you look the more you see them. its appears that the only cars you see are vehrons now..

this is not because the whole world is fixated on vehrons.. but the fact that you are.. you are specifically looking out for it.. spending hours a day reading 10 articles about vehrons.. ......... whilst the rest of the 99.9% are driving other vehicles and reading billions of different news stories.

yes bitcoin is special just like bugatti.. and yes there is interest. but if you spend 99% of your time looking at bitcoin, falsely makes you think 99% of the world is doing the same

Unfortunately as much as I like to agree, I have to do the opposite for now. Yes I know there were great thing for Bitcoin in this year alone as comparison to same calendar last year but it's still a long way for it to be considered as What you stated here. Blockchain on the other hand is a bit more advance in this situation.

A limited number of independent restaurants and B and Bs even accept the currency bitcointravel.com can point you in the right direction. So need not to worry about bitcoin It will automatically spread through globally as well very soon.

I wouldn't say fixated, most people are still clueless, but people is slowing waking up to the fact that if you are not involved in BTC in some way or another you are ahead of the pack and increasingly irrelevant, so I do expect 2016 to be the year where more and more people get directly involved as in owning some of it, spending, and investing in VC.

Bitcoin is getting more attention but the world isn't fixed on it. The increasing interest is growing, but slowly. There are universities that had courses about it, there are shops accepting bitcoins, and bitcoin is growing the base of users. But go to the street and ask 100 persons about bitcoin. I suppose that only 5 will know about it.
