In general I would not say, because if we say altcoins we are talking of all coins except bitcoin.
We know that during that ICO there are also lots of scams and they exist in the market now, with this big competition and buyers
are more educated now, only a certain percent will survive and that is good because when scams will die it's gonna be a progressive market.

Altcoins are worth buying guys. Coins like Paragon, Stellar and Cardano are excellent in terms of profitability. These are great for investments.

If you are willing to invest money especially to some altcoins which will definitely more profitable, I would suggest that you invest on the top ranked alts such as ethereum, ripple and EOS because it has a very high potential to pump and growth rapidly.

It is very difficult to predict which coin will be good for investments. I think that coins related to good reliable platform and active team of developers is good choice, for instance Ethereum.
