This guy is a legend and he has made so much money that his bank wants to take it all lol. If only he was aware about Bitcoin, he could be playing for Bitcoin and dealing with his own money gains directly instead of thought banks.

But if he played with Bitcoin, he would not be as famous as he is (which strongly contributes to his wealth). I mean, Pokerstars does not accept BTC as far as I know (nor they have plans of doing it).

Also, he can easily move to another bank. Even if they were to take his money, unless he did/is doing something illegal, he could easily sue them (and such a big company would not want to ruin its reputation for a few millions).

It's not the bank, it's the government, keeping people's money is what banks do, all money is good money for them, unless the government says otherwise.

Negreanu plays poker since before bitcoin was created, plus there's no bitcoin poker for his league...

True, DN is a professional, unfortunately, there isn't a tournament worth his time in Bitcoin, this only means that someone should start planning a huge poker tournament for Bitcoin to get the big names involved, so poker in Bitcoin is not only amateurs do but having big names in the game will give us a ton of publicity too, ideally will avoid stuff like this in the future (even tho the IRS will still ask for their Bitcoins to be taxed, but they can just steal them from you if they get paid directly in personal addresses).

Maybe but many poker players are already very aware of bitcoin, if you got to twoplustwo poker forums some huge topics on bitcoin are there.  What we need to do is push pokerstars to work with bitcoin but the problem is they will keep games in fiat likely which is no good.

The next choice is to build something amazing for bitcoin poker which players cant resist but i think its best we just firstly push pokerstars on bitcoin, then push them to offer some bitcoin games without fiat conversion.

There are some pretty big games for Bitcoin on the Winning Poker Network (WPN) that are open to US citizens.

It is strange that BoA locked Negreanu's accounts because poker is legal in the United States...online wire transfers to "known" gambling sites are not legal for US BANKS to "process" but still perfectly legal for Negreanu.  When the banks realize that the money is going to a "known" gambling site, they just block the site....not freeze the personal account.  It is very strange to be sure!

Apparently Bank of America no longer wants my business. They are closing all my accounts because I put too much money in them from poker???

Yeah, tell him not to use Coinbase to sell any of his bitcoins, as they'll close his account 10 times faster than any commercial bank.  He'd have to join one of those risky foreign exchanges or Cryptsy and hope he gets his money out, or else he could try to deal with someone here and hope he doesn't get scammed.

Yeah, he should probably just find a new bank.

Why banks want to decide about the money of the people? That's why I love bitcoin, no one must decide of my money ! Anyway, Daniel will surely find another bank, that's only a question of time Smiley

Getting a bank to close your account is very bad for your credit rating. It could prevent you from getting a mortgage. Don't think it matters for Negreanu but it hurts people's credit.

The "Thought" Banks have been stealing my ideas for years Sad
My doctor said it was NOT schizophrenia but the US govt. doing mind control maybe.
Google search "USA gwen towers"
That is how the thought banks get you !
And no joke tinfoil hats actually do work at blocking the transmissions.
There is a wide assortment of items you can buy such as reflective paint or led blankets for your bed etc.

What a crock of shit, they're doing this cause the dealers involved are under the microscope with a million eyes on them and they're unable to fix the game like they usually do. "they" decide who wins and who loses and get infuriated by anybody who gets ahead without sucking their cocks.
