If you check your Watchlist, all the sorting options on the table header have "unreadreplies" instead of "watchlist" on the url, "redirecting" you out of the "watchlist" into the "Unread Replies / Updated Topics" section.

Manually inserting "watchlist" as the action parameter makes it work correctly, so I think this could easily be fixed.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Lost you there for a minute, but I get it now. Seems so, I'd inform about this to the admins though, but well seeing as the new forum might be coming in a few months, and that (lets be honest) no one uses Watch-list, I'd not be sure that it will be fixed anytime soon

I never miss a thread/post because of "Show unread posts since last visit. " , I am omnipresent(in this context, always online)
Seriously though, there's the Bitcointalk script and "Show new replies to your posts." that majority use.

Thats >500 posts for me, my watchlist is only ~50. I never sort it though so I never had the issue micaman has.

It looks like its working though if the link is manually replaced.

Exactly!
"Show unread posts since last visit. " returns too many posts, including a lot of "garbage" posts.
"Show new replies to your posts." is useful, but too few posts for me as I don't post that much.
"Watchlist" is what I usually go to, it's perfect for me...

It was the first time I used those filters, I recognize they might not be very useful or even used by anyone, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't work as intended.

Thanks for the feedback.

I found another "weird" behaviour with the "mark all messages as read" option, not sure I should create a different topic just for this, but here it goes:

"Watchlist" (having multiple pages) -> "mark all messages as read" = All topics from 1st page are marked as read, as the url specifies all topics that should be marked as read.
"Show new replies to your posts." (having multiple pages) -> exactly same behaviour as the above.
"Show unread posts since last visit." (having multiple pages) -> "mark all messages as read" = ALL topics are marked as read. (url does not specify which topics should be marked as read).

I'm not sure if this is supposed to work like this, but it's the main reason I prefer "Watchlist" over "Show unread posts since last visit.", nowadays.

-snip-
"Show unread posts since last visit." (having multiple pages) -> "mark all messages as read" = ALL topics are marked as read. (url does not specify which topics should be marked as read).
Tried, with all in "topic=all" doesn't seem to work. I guess thats a SMF limitation
Edit: Trying other stuff, lets see
This doesn't seem to work either, copied from "All Unread Topics"

It doesn't seem to accept "unread" under the "sa" parameter. Specifying topics also appears to be irrelevant.

Please dont(!) fix that. I was really happy when I once had 10+ page one my watchlist that I could only mark a few very old as read. Took me a while to be brave enough, because I suspected all would be marked as read.

Im not really here, its just your imagination.

I agree... just wondering if the huge "Unread Posts" list shouldn't work the same way.

Theymos, did you just mess up "Updated Topics"? Sort according to Views and Last post show a 404 error. Replies was doing the same, some time ago, but seems fine now.
Edit: Its the same with watchboard
Edit 2: I see the error now, there is a "?" missing, shouldn't be hard to fix

Links were erroneous: https://bitcointalk.org/index.phpaction=unreadreplies;start=0;sort=views
"replies" was removed.
Both are now fixed.

I think you misunderstood what I was asking if it should be changed:

"Watchlist" (having multiple pages) -> "mark all messages as read" = Only topics from 1st page are marked as read, as the url specifies all topics that should be marked as read.
"Show new replies to your posts." (having multiple pages) -> "mark all messages as read" = Only topics from 1st page are marked as read, as the url specifies all topics that should be marked as read.
"Show unread posts since last visit." (having multiple pages) -> "mark all messages as read" = ALL topics are marked as read.

I think it would be more helpful if this "unread" list action worked as in "watchlist" and "unread replies".

Well the link says "all" so I expected the fix to indeed mark "all" as read, on all pages, not just the one shown. Maybe rename it to "mark this page as read" for clarification or add two links. It should certainly be consistant over all pages.

Im not really here, its just your imagination.
