There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

If you are looking for history / ancient monuments, Delhi with a short trip to Agra should be fine.
Do try and squeeze in Bangalore into your trip, since it is the IT capital of India.

You guys can somewhere organize a meetup around your office(just came to know that you have one in NSP), many more might be interested in meeting each other along with hl5460.

I think your best bet is to use your Chinese ATM card within India to withdraw INR. Other than that, you will have to exchange bitcoins for INR cash. If you are in Bangalore, probably one of the bitcoin companies here can help you.

How can I convert CNY to INR?
There are two ways to do so and they are common for all cross country visit...

1. Not using bitcoin : Have an international debit card (with MasterCard/VISA) from a Chinese bank (most HK banks will offer this). Top up your bank account with CNY. Withdraw INR from any Indian ATM.

2. Using bitcoin : Have a bitcoin debit card (e-coin.io, AnxBtc, WageCan etc.) and buy bitcoin with CNY to top it up. Use it to withdraw INR from any Indian ATM.

Tricky part is that only HSBC supports Chinese Union card and there aren't many HSBC opertions across India. I did visit Bangalore and it's a pity that I didn't catch up with them.

I think you are right.
What I did was carry the greebacks and exchange INR at various rates. 1USD:61INR at airport, 66-67.5 at currency exchange stands(with and without signs)
