I think what he meant was that 99% of coins where there is a pre-mine turns out to be a scam. Normally what happens is that the dev is all nicy-nicy until the coin lists on an exchange then the dev dumps the pre-mine and disappears. He further means that suckers that keep on mining new coins knowing that the chances are high for this to happen every time but they keep hoping that the next coin will actually have an honest dev but keep bumping their heads. Nevertheless, people will always be mining new coins just for in case, because you cannot win the lottery if you do not buy a ticket.

PS: You might want to revise your launch time as it is already way past the upper boundary.

It would have been better to wait until 10pm to attempt a more fair distribution. With a 4 minute block time and diff > 800k already it is going to be difficult to fix the distribution.

no and i advise you to never, really never, launch a wallet (or any other software) from an unknown person... I will post wallets once trusted community members provide the binaries. If you need advice on how to compile the wallet on your operating system don't hesitate to contact me. we are also in IRC: #bitpound

no. first of all. We did not stake with the airdrop coins except the POS test-mode (~70 POS blocks) which was necesary in live-net. Those coins are in the airdrop wallet and will also be split upon community. There were 4 transaction from the wallet. 2 tx with the developer stake (those coins are not staking too). 2 tx as bounties for wallet-compilation (from community-members) and general consulting/support as well as invested time. That is it. No other transaction. No staking for our profit.


airdrop will start this weekend. i will write down the date in the first post. wallet will also have a update very soon (stealth keys, GUI-style, checkpointing).

www.cex24.com and its trading engine belong to the developer of BTP. We use it for the airdrop and will use it for trading in the future. We are not phishing for any details. Bitcointalk-username and BTP-address are the only information stored temporarily (until airdrop is over). This is the only way to prevent the same people from claiming airdrop coins.

Actually no it doesn't prevent anything, do you know how many shill accounts and extra BPT addresses you can make and link together even emails.... and then even on top of that if you go the Single IP only route then VPN's come into it....

1) open terminal
2) go into desktop folder:

3) install dependcies: (you can install them in one apt-get call, but i list them all separately to give you better overview)
