5 minutes and you don't have to worry about viruses and stuff.
1) open terminal
2) go into desktop folder:
3) install dependcies: (you can install them in one apt-get call, but i list them all separately to give you better overview)
sudo apt-get install build-essential
sudo apt-get install libssl-dev
sudo apt-get install libdb++-dev
sudo apt-get install libboost-all-dev
sudo apt-get install libminiupnpc-dev
sudo apt-get install libqrencode-dev
sudo apt-get install qt5-default qt5-qmake qtbase5-dev-tools qttools5-dev-tools
4) install git and clone the BTP source:
git clone https://github.com/bitpound/bitpound
5) cd into the bitpound directory:
6)generate qt makefile:
7) compile wallet
done (open the folder bitpound on your desktop and start the wallet)
