It's not the right time to sell, these days the price was decreased for about $20 and i don't see any needs to sell them, i believe that the bitcoin price will be increased much more in the upcoming months.

Agree if already on profit no mistake if you will sold your coins. Because after you sold your coins you can still purchase again and now do the holding process to wait for another profit.

If you bought you coins@ $250 then I don't think you should wait longer, its the best time for you to make profits, and I did the same thing in last week.

I highly recommend to hold the bitcoins for now because of the upcoming of halving on July. But if you really badly needed the money just what like above posts, we can't please you what you wanted to do. These are just a guide and advice we know that you can have take more advantage.

You are right about that its good to hold up your bitcoins now, the halving is coming and the fact that the bitcoin grows makes it for me good to hold it.

We can better wait a longer time and that can be nice because if you are selling now than you wot have that huge profit and that is bad because you are greedy.

That depends about how many you have and for how much you bought them. Dont sell them if the price is lower then where you bought your coins for but i think that you know that. Sell them on the best moment i will wait a coouple of time.

After a week, I have now found a post with sense rather than repeating that "no don't sell at price is not good" , "don't sell halving is coming" etc.

Yes we have our own preference on how we will execute to move our coins whether to buy or sell. Just give some nice insights to your actions, sold when profit, buy when dip. Easy to say indeed but really majority can't follow.

well, i think you either have to be a long term investor to think like what you said and just hold for the period of time you have set for yourself like a year or five.
or you have to be a day-trader and always look at the market to sell if the price goes down and not wait for $400 and sell sooner and buy back when it stopped.
so you have to choose a category first.

Actually that depends on the margin you're comfortable with. If you're way down and can no longer risk the losses, then that's the right price to sell, be it $350 or $400.

i think that it would be really bad moment to sell your bitcoins as price will rise anyway, also halving i July, so if price would fall to 400$ we should keep our bitcoins now and not sell them

Then what price you think is enough for the word "high"
The current value of bitcoin is 448 bucks, does 460 to you doesn't high enough?
The one who suggest things should give a more specific details of what he is suggesting otherwise your suggestion is not useful enough if you jsut give general words.

most people do it wrong

if the price is falling, that's the time to buy.

There are only 2 valid reasons to sell when the prices fall:

1) You need the money, and the fall just happens to be on the exact moment you needed money, unfortunately for you.

2) You expect the fall to bring the total collapse of the asset you own, and you don't think the asset will ever recover (during your lifetime), so you sell it to cover your losses.

Since 2) is unlikely to happen (bitcoin is very likely to recover and gain much more value within a short time period, so selling will only cost you money) it's a bad idea to sell when the price is low, unless you absolutely need the money right then.

Yeah if you want to earn some extra profits then hold it till halving as if you sell now you wont earn good percentage of profits, better to hold of next few months.

It's finaly $500 after almost 7 months and I already sold my bitcoins today as I had bought them in November and had been holding since then. It's again a jump in the price that won't last long and hence others who are earning profit by selling their bitcoins should go ahead and do so as it may soon drop again.
