signature system problems

I think the signature system needs re-working, this is what we are currently dealing with

- Newbie: No styling (including links) allowed. Max 50 characters.
- Jr. Member: Links allowed. Max 150 characters.
- Member: Unlimited length.
- Full: Color allowed.
- Sr. Member: Size allowed
- Hero: Background color allowed

how can members have unlimited characters but even I have a 4k limit?

also i need to test a signature on a member account, here is the code

Global max is 4000 AFAIK. So its for all. Height is 42px IIRC.
