I am aware that many contributors to this forum base some of their ideological positions on the fact that they have children. I am curious to know what percentage of active members have children in their lives? Feel free to suggest missing options but I am interested to know how many children are under the influence of Bitcoin role models, and what if at all your kids think of Bitcoin?

My children (15 and 17) are pretty knowledgeable about bitcoin. But they know a lot of stuff that other children do not get to learn, like 9-11 being an act of terrorism pulled off by Israel and elements of the U.S. military/industrial/medical establishment.
My son owns bitcoin himself. He asks for payment in them.

I haven't really gathered that and I wouldn't say it's true for me. My philosophy certainly deeply affects my parenting, but not so much the other way. My philo changed a lot more in the 2 years before I had my first kid than in the years since.

My philo changed a lot more in the 2 years before I had my first kid than in the years since. Not jumping to any conclusions, I see lots of people referring to children when making a point and it seemed they were talking from experience. Regarding philosophy it was the other way around for me having kids changed my perspective.

I do software development from home, wife is stay-at-home, we homeschool, and we have 4 kids under 7 (soon to be 5 kids in a couple days...)
Our oldest is still too young to truly understand the intricacies of Bitcoin, but he knows what mining is. He even built a "mining rig" out of Legos a year and a half ago.

Apple is lousy towards its developers; it treats them like ____. No thanks. I actually found a free game dev library that ports to PC/Mac/Linux/Android/iOS -- though iOS support is in its early stages, I'm sure it will be ready by the time I need it.

If you could mine bitcoin with children... hmmmm. There are a handful of abusive countries around the world that would double GDP if this was possible. Maybe they could turn a crank or something to power the rigs. I'm imagining endless rows of kids running in hamster wheels.

Funny idea, but this is in fact a huge benefit, many of the foundations in our industrialised society came at the expense of children, and still today child labour plays a significant role in mining of gold, diamonds and other precious metals. I watched Tony Gallippi presentation and at the beginning he suggests Bitcoin is at the Innovators stage in the adoption lifestyle, this view implies Bitcoin is going to grow big, and with half the BTC already mined it also implies the only parth to adoption is a crazy amount of voluntary wealth redistribution, this requirement for voluntary wealth sacrifice diminishes the benefits. And with the point above ie. child labour used to create much of the existing wealth today, it could be morally justified that it gos to BTC as it is mined free of child labour.
