I deposited to my account, got "22 confirmations, broadcast through 7 nodes". MtGox doesn't show deposit.

open service request, get this:

Thank you for your email and for providing the details and I will have that checked and I will keep you updated on the status.

Please be aware that:

When withdrawing or depositing bitcoins into your Mt.Gox account there may occasionally be a delay (1~24 hours) depending on network congestion, your internet connection speed and the time required to get 6 confirmations on the network. If you're sending to your computer's wallet, it's good practice to keep your bitcoin client running so it can download the block chain. For those that may not know the block chain is the complete history of all transactions made on the bitcoin network, and as such it can take some time to update and download the most current block and see the bitcoins in your wallet.

If you aren't seeing the funds after either withdrawing/sending to Mt. Gox from your bitcoin program, please wait 24 hours before contacting us. If your transfer has still not occurred within 48 hours, please lodge a support request so we may begin the process of tracking your bitcoins and reinitiating the transfer.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any further enquiries, please do not hesitate to contact Mt.Gox Support by responding to this email (should the enquiry relate to this ticket).

Which I guess is their version of "please stay on the line, your call is VERY IMPORTANT TO US"

Anybody else have deposited BTC to MtGox recently?

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Yes I just had the same problem. No credit after 15 confirmations for a deposit to MTGox. I have already submitted a ticket.

Concerned that blockchain bloat will lead to centralization? Storing less than 4 GB of data once required the budget of a superpower and a warehouse full of punched cards. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/87/IBM_card_storage.NARA.jpg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punched_card

Anybody else have deposited BTC to MtGox recently?

Someone else reported the same problem through the #mtgox IRC channel (Freenode) as well:

Got the same stock reply. There is obviously a problem here with Bitcoin deposits at MTGox

What pisses me off is that they start talking bull#@it, like it depends on network speed and yadayada, when it clearly is an outage. Why not just say honestly "we have a problem". As if we are stupid and not figure this out by ourselves

01:08.54 ( @MagicalTux ) if our system sees anything out of the ordinary, it halts talking with the bitcoin network

Also smpake.com still has some coins in it.

Arbitrage from different Gox accounts. Thought about that last year but actually I thought Gox would be considered operating as a financial operator if they allowed that, even though their TOS suggests that you can have multiple currency accounts.

The argument would be that Bitcoin is only an intermediate exchange medium and you in reality are trading USD <-> GBP <-> EUR or whatever.

why arbitrate in two accounts??? to fake the last trades on history sheet??
