Hi everyone. I have been fighting the urge to post this because it's honestly embarrassing. I've decided I really want to figure this out.

So a couple weeks ago I went to my friends wedding and baby shower. Then on a follow up date, I went to the meet and greet ceremony for the actual baby. I gave the baby a romper and he seemed to like it, whatever. This is the part that bothered me.. One of the guests brought their baby to meet the other baby which was a female baby. They asked me to hold their baby and then all of a sudden the baby just starts crying out of no where. I don't understand. I didn't do anything. I didn't hurt her. I didn't wear too much cologne that day and I shaved my face and I wasn't wearing anything dark or scary so I don't get it. I did absolutely nothing. I was so embarrassed because as soon as the baby went back into the mothers arms, she was okay. The baby boy from the shower was absolutely fine with me holding him, but the girl wasn't. I don't understand.

Some toddlers are good at it, while some are not. Guess you met one that can sense character.

Toddlers are humans you know, small, irritating, loud and squirming humans, but still humans, could be the girl was just being a bitch and just wanted to behave that way that day Tongue I don't think that babies and toddlers have that much self-awareness that they can pick up so easily on behaviour, when they get a bit later on towards the teens though they certainly can.

One child is used to being with strangers and the other is not, pretty much how it breaks down. The one that cried may have had a bad experience just before you,was tired, needed a nap or is glued to mom always. Do not take kids personally they are for the most part sporadic little beings that follow a whim.

I still took it personally just because it was embarrassing overall.

It happens sometimes to all of us because some babies are not used to other people around them except for their family members or someone they see always. Maybe that's the reason why that baby cried because she is not used to be carried by strangers.

Mabe not babies, but some animals for sure. More developed than a baby, and can feel the energy and body language.
