Unfortunately I have to post this here, as I am still a newbie   Sad

I have recently become interested in working with a skilled programmer to develope a website primarily for bitcoin fueled video poker, but with the capacity to expand to other games such as slots or BJ.  The concept is very similar to luckco.in but with a more stable environment and making it a little more like an actual casino by expanding on his basic design.  Further expansions would ultimately include different games, such as dueces wild, bonus, and hundred hand poker as well as blackjack or other games that one would find in a casino, and requests from players(by a very user friendly feedback system).  I feel that a real stable website with enough versatility and promotions could achieve a pretty vast player base.  Ultimately I would like to take this concept and expand into the app market with it, because I started thinking, why do people stop playing?  To go to work/errands/whatever else, and an app would make it so they could continue playing even while away from a computer, but this idea would be after the inital website took off of course.

I will admit that I am quite a newbie when it comes to programming things like this.  This is why I am looking for a partner.  Your job would be the coding and getting it to run and continually run/develope and I would provide the funding for servers/payouts, while doing what I can to come up with ideas and what not to help you.  Obviously this is a for profit venture, (lets face it casinos are in business for a reason and with a 95% payout structure we still make money), and I propose this as a payout structure.  At the beginning when it is getting going, I pay fees and starting capital out of pocket and we split profit 50/50, after the website has been running and starts to make more per month than a server costs, we pay server costs first then split the remaining 50/50.  Open to ideas on this though.

Biggest things to take into account are security and ease of deposit, I want people to feel secure putting money on the site and being able to play immediatly after sending bitcoins.  Another important aspect is replay-ability, this will come by making the games fun and visually appealing.  The main problem that I have with luckco is that you have to reload the website every 5 minutes because it crashes and also doesnt work on internet explorer.  These are all things to fix and by having them will take market share.

Obviously you will need to be comfortable coding and able to make changes and add on to basic designs.  If interested you can contact me and we can work on talks about implementing this.  I would also assume (although I dont know for sure) that this will consume pretty low amounts of bandwidth and as such wont require too expensive of a server, again not completely sure.  Please let me know your thoughts.

Any other ideas welcome, looking forward to hearing from you and creating a fun and secure gaming environment using bitcoins!

Obviously this is a for profit venture, (lets face it casinos are in business for a reason and with a 95% payout structure we still make money)

the bar is set pretty high:

Our Jacks or Better pay table is a standard "Full Pay" pay table, which offers 99.54% RTP under optimal play. The games where we made tweaks were Double Bonus Poker and Double Double Bonus Poker, where we increased the payout of Straight Flushes up to 60 for 1, and also increased the payout of "4 Aces with a 2-4" up to 460 (instead of the standard 400 for 1). These adjustments bring these pay table's RTP above 99% (to 99.48% and 99.46%, respectively).

We have taken great care to ensure our risk of ruin is minimal. As the player's edge increases, the risk of ruin for the house increases (when it's >= 100%, the risk of ruin for the house is guaranteed in the long run). So, in games where the RTP is above 100%, the player may think they're getting a good game, but in reality they're betting against the house going broke.

There are already casinos and we don't need another one, also if your not going to do provability of the winning and lossing I doubt anyone will use it. Any developer who does this will not make money, you just want a free script.

What a great outlook on the free market.  Lets never improve on other peoples design and therefor never have any innovation of any kind whatsoever.  EVERYTHING you currently use is the product of competition which continually improves products and drives prices down, sort of why the government does not allow monopolies.  But your right, if we just let the crappy casinos continue to run unabatted, they will eventually improve themselves with no other market forces.  Way to really spread innovation and build better systems.

I am not sure what you mean by not doing provability.  I suppose I didnt completely outline a way to show that it was fair, but I figured that sort of went without saying since it is kind of a simple concept.

If your not interested thats fine, no one ever said you had to.  But I am a little confused on why you feel you must troll other peoples ideas and concepts and only provide info such as "there are too many already", and "its not going to work"?  This is such a lack of help to anyone that its kind of funny.  You dont want to progress old ideas and only explore new ones, thats fine, but some of us want to take ideas that are in place and expand on them and make them better which will only lead to greater innovation and cutting edge programs.

So thank you for your troll work here in the newbies section, im sure we all appreciate "just another troll" working to blow these forums up with junk and negativity.

If your doing provability you can't have a 5% house edge it doesn't work that way, so obviously you can't prove that game played already had a random outcome.

Ok, I can admit when I made a mistake, that was supposed to say 99.5% plus or minus .3%.  This would be very easy to change as a simple tweek of the payouts could increase or decrease the odds once everything else is set up.  Obviously 5% is a crazy big amount for a slot machine.  I do apologize for this, but I still think an idea like this could work.  Make it similar to oddsmaker.ag and have promotions and earn points for every play that can be spent on bitcoin credits or whatnot.  Basically make incentives and make it fun so that people keep playing, also make it work and not have to refresh the page every 10 hands, no offense to luck.co, but you did admit this was a problem and also it doesnt work on internet explorer.

Looks like you might have to do this yourself, or pay someone.
But how hard can this be? Isn't it just an integration job?
As far as I am aware you can buy a gambling site off the shelf, more or less, plug in the games you want, from any number of providers, and the payment methods you want. The only difference  here is that you want bitcoins. No doubt there is some easy way to hook up bitcoin with the accounts/wallets on the site. I honestly doubt that a lot of programming would be involved unless you wanted the site to have something over and above the normal.

So what do YOU bring to this venture (besides the idea "I wanna have a casino site")

Good idea, huge profit potential there but you're artificially restricting your market hugely by restricting to BTC. While I admire the principle, in practice you're better off opening it up to other currencies and offering BTC as an option. Having said that, the development & successful marketing will be a feat in itself. Hope you like SEO!
