I have a Antminer S5 coming in the Mail, my only concern is power. I'm looking at the CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply. (sold from NewEgg) Since the power supply is a 600 Watt, and the Antminer pulls 590 Watts will the 10W gap be enough for the Antminer, or will it fluctuate a lot?

Any Suggestions?
Thanks,
Landon

You're probably going to want at least a 750W, and better than Bronze, for reliability and efficiency.

Cool, quiet and up to 1TH pod miner, on sale now!

It would be enough, the gap is not 10W, since the rated Wattage is for DC, not AC. 590w is the "At the wall" = AC. But that PSU is not very efficient and its not bad at all, but not great either.

I'd go for a 650 EVGA G2 at least. Definitively worth the price difference imo. Great warranty, not that you'll need to use it, most likely. (I never had to and i got quite a few EVGAs.)

to be safe if your going to use a bronze 600 watt psu,  i would at least use gold @ 600 watts you can use a 600 watt PSU but might have to lower the speed sense, it will more then likely will use closer to 640 or so watts .@ default speed of 350 m .

or like
sidehack  said get a 750 watt gold

or anything 750 just don't buy to cheap it might end up being worse then the 600 watt psu would be. .

or what
VirosaGITS said 650 will work at default speed with no really safe overclocking room, you will most likely end up overclocking it .

or go here buy one of these ,

http://holybitcoin.com/product/hp-1200-watt-common-slot-psu-bundle/

or talk to

philipma1957  he won't lead you wrong for that sea sonic .

but don't waste your time with a under powered psu that can work but might cause more issues then you want and money with returns etc replacing it .

I will have to think about it. Right now I'm looking at a EVGA 100-B1-0700-K1 700W SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Power Supply, will this work?

Just throwing this out there, but the difference between Bronze and Gold power supplies is about five percent efficiency. On about a 550WDC draw, at ten cent power, the bronze will cost you $30-35 more per year - without considering the potential replacment costs if it's also a cheaply-made supply that blows up. Or the potential replacement cost of the miner, if it blows up bad enough to take that out. Spend a bit more upfront and save in the long run.

you need at least 650w my friend.  Go to JohnyGuru website and search the power supply you want to buy, he has very good in depth reviews.  I recomment buying the EVGA g2 line, excellent power supplies, good price.
