So, I have so BTC in lake BTC that i need to transfer. Seems like the only way is to give them my phone number and then text them.
Why do i need to do this. Virwox, which i used to keep coins does not require this.
thanks

if this is for 2fa then yes, otherwise you can user other service which offer a private or public phone number, the former is much harder and can be costly, the latter is generally free

I have a cheap prepaid simcard that I bought for €3 that I use for giving my number to services if they require you to add one. Best solution.

A great solution indeed. Had not though about that, and will apply it from now on.

I do not like when they force you to use 2 factor authentication really. One should be able to disable it under his own responsability.

it's a security system that you use with google, it allow you to receive a code using your phone, basically they need your phone too to access your account

If you are so concerned about your phone number, why don't you just buy a new number for few bucks just for the sake of transferring you BTC from Lake BTC to your wallet???
That way, your number that you don't wish to give won't be leaked... Wink

There should be ways to avoid this with technology we have now.
IP phone number would not enough to give, which is a phone number that can be answered on your computer. Those would be considered burner phone numbers. One time use if you wanted.
