Never visited but heard it was a beautiful country. One of the largest economies but with too much poverty. Don't know a lot about bali specifically.

Text book example of bigotry? World isn't black or white. By the way bali is a part of indonesia. But before you say they are trash too: they aren't muslim over there. They are mostly hindu.

Although Muslims are a majority in Indonesia (87% of the population), it is officially a secular nation (with the exception to the province of Aceh) where all the religions enjoy equal treatment. However, lately extremist voices have been gaining ground, as a result of Wahhabi funding from Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

Saying indonesia is a secular state means the government doesn't follow religious laws. But religious leaders can say whatever they want of course. As in other places. People will follow them only if they want to. If they believe in that religion. But didn't stop the president from saying merry christmas for example http://jakartaglobe.beritasatu.com/news/indonesian-president-wishes-christians-merry-christmas "I wish the Christian community a merry Christmas," the president said on Twitter. "Hopefully the Christmas spirit brings joy and peace for all of us."
