I'm looking to build a rig, I have 4x 6970s, so I need a board/case/psu that can accomodate these.

If you have something, please reply here with specs, pics, and price. Thanks

i have an older rig i've just powered down from mining/being a guestbox.

asus socket am2 board with 2 pci-e 16x slots
amd athlon 64 x2 dualcore @ 2.2ghz(comes with heatsink & fan)
3gb ddr2 ram

all of it works quite well.
i'll ship all 3 items anywhere in continental US for 3.5BTC

edit: it's got 1 pci-e 1x slot also, so it'd run 3 cards..
it's housed in a bigass 1990's alienware case, which i'd send for free if you paid shipping.

I'm trying to run all 4 cards from 1 motherboard, so I'm assuming I will need a quad crossfire board.

Nope, my board will all run 5 cards.  You just need PCI and PCI-E extenders so you can get some ventilation about them.   I'll make a package for you.  This is how I ran these rigs.

This wont be for mining, will the extenders cause any performance issues?

If is isnt for mining, then yes I believe so. I can sell you some good PSUs though.  Ill check my ASRock board to see what it supports.

I doubt you'll need that much. I ran two 6950s flashed to 6970 (1536) shaders at 880MHz core / 200MHz mem / 1.06V and they pulled around 350W at the wall with an 80+ Silver PSU. This was with a 2500k/Z68 system with 8GB RAM.

How about a (1) ABS 1100 Watt PSU (80 plus gold) - BTC8.75?

What do you need the 4 cards for if you dont mind?  Serious machine that is not for mining?
