I'm curious how virwox are able to do this, without losing too much money to chargeback fraud? You would think it would be just as easy to reverse a linden dollar purchase as it is to reverse a bitcoin purchase.

Yes, PayPal is putting their nose where they don't belong.

But since it's NOT safe, until Paypal quits their bad habit of finding excuses to help scammers and outright steal money themselves due to a restriction in the "Terms and Whoreadsems?," it's not a good idea.

ACCOUNT RECOVERED 4/27/2020. Account was previously hacked sometime in 2017. Posts between 12/31/2016 and 4/27/2020 are NOT LEGITIMATE.

There is actually someone that I met on the forum here that I purchase small amounts of bitcoin from using paypal a few times. It is not something that I would normally encourage but this was different. It was only for .5 btc or less, which isnt a lot of money.

But after I made the first purchase and he delivered I did it a few more times. So, if you have friends that use Bitcoin you can buy with them from Paypal. Or, if you find someone on the forums that is a trusted member doing other transactions you can try it that way.

TIP: Make sure to send the money as a "gift" so no fees are deducted.

No, that would lessen paypals hold on the market, moving business from one less than reputable entity to another.

IF it was safe, yes.

Reductio ad absurdum.

In theory, there's no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.
