There is no profit involved in these trades. It is just coins moving from one pocket of yours to another.
That is why exchanges with no transaction fees are not reliable for volume data.

I think this the actual fuel for recent pump and dump scheme after some constant low volume trade. Those high volume seems to be the fake one regarding my opinion.

Someone was playing ping pong with his accounts I'd say.
Not the first time you see things like that on the chinese exchanges.
You can thank the zero fee politics for that.

Even with no trading fees that is some seriously big volume that is not easy to create.. If the spread is not high enough it is very difficult to trade with yourself wihtout catching other peoples coins.

This is just the surface.

There is some really weird things going on in these Chinese exchanges. I'd like to see a good investigation of it someday.

the large traders or groups that buy their own coins do it within seconds. mostly they are indeed buying their own coins, but some times they end up buying the coins from other people as well, but i don't think they care that much if they are buying a few coins from others while trying to buy their own coins. traders on this level have several thousands of coins to play with and equal amount of fiat. a few coins more or less doesn't bother them.

If you have deep pockets, you can skim the other trades and do huge volumes of trades with yourself.
In the end, you won't lose much.
It is only when there are trading fees that you feel the pinch.

I'm confused.  You said million coins in one trade but those numbers show a whole days volume.

You're right. I've never seen this ticker show day summaries in that column but that would make sense. Ooops ¯\(°_o)/¯
