Doctors throw antibiotics at antthing they do not understand. That will strip the gut and cause you more issues. Its a bad cycle to get into.

If you have a common cold going to the doctor is a waste of time !
They advise against that here in Canada.. just Google for Treatment.

And i think Karma bit me in the ass on this topic. (for my 2 snotty ass remarks earlier)
1 of my 2 room-mates got a cold and now i got it somehow..

Say no to medicines and keep having natural products like ginger , green chillies and 'golki' in hindi . Taking medicines or syrup will make it worse .

Exactly. Avoid the doctors unless absolutely necessary as they will only prescribe you some b.s. which will cause more symptoms or as you stated, antibiotics which should only be taken when truly needed and are way over-prescribed which is causing a host of problems. A cold is a virus and not going to be affected by antibiotics or "cured" by anything yet most MD's will find a reason to prescribe you something before they charge you and send you on your way.

why not try herbal medicines? here in our country , i was being prescribed by a certain tea with a blend of leaves and seeds, namely :
Alagao leaves,Banaba leaves, Guava leaves, Pandan leaves, Mango leaves, Coriander seeds and Anise seeds. simply mix them all then boil for about 30 minutes , strain and drink the juice. you can also eat the leaves. and it was effective but it tastes awfully

Love my doctor but the guy pushes drugs on me way to fast. I recall being in high school and the guy wanted to put me on prozac because I rather sleep in than go to school. He just retired though so I think that wave of doctor is slowly fading to black.

Read recently that some things are contagious that we did not suspect before. Forget if it was dementia or alzheimers they are starting to connect to being able to pass on some how. The more they study the brain the more they will most likely find we are open to suggestion and
able to pick up issues. I recall as a kid pretending to be sick and I always ended up sick within 24 hours of pretending,never failed.
So I think there may be a little to that suggestive state.

Too much drugs can cause some serious damage to intestinal flora especially those antibiotics.
Try old remedies. Don't eat too much your stomach is weak dont force it.
Drink lot of water and tea.. That should fix you!

I heard one theory when you are sick , need to eat less, almost nothing,
because stomach consumes almost all power from body.
And energy is very important for imuno sistem to has strength to fight back illness.
More liquid and less food.

False alarm looks like I just ate to much sugar. For some reason it increases my mucus the next day.

Doubt its a problem. It draws the issue together and makes more sense rather then me posting it alone. Its not like it was a attempt to fatten up a post or mislead in any way,so it should be alright. Rather run into a issue doing this than have a mod outright delete for being off topic because they can not see the context. Double edged sword,end of the day if its a issue I can go some where else and play.
