yes, he is definitely right.. western civilization is getting older on the other hand; eastern civilization is getting younger.. so the second one will toll the death knell for the antecedant..
Western Europe as a whole is ageing rapidly. But one of the reasons for that is the increase in human longevity. Western European males are having a life span of more than 80 years, on average. On the other hand, the life span for Eastern European males are around 66-67 years. It is slowly increasing as of now, but I don't think that the two will converge at any point of time in this century.
