what luck, after over a week and a half, I say screw mtgox and go and do P2P transfer, look at the time difference in emails.... loll.

Just be careful of scams while doing P2P trading.  Otherwise it's better than any exchanges any time of the day.  Wink

yeahh, i did it as a last resort and did it from a very reputable member to be sure. but i just felt it was so ironic that the time i finally did it, mtgox verified me

I'm glad I didn't use Mt Gox. I almost did use them initially but changed my mind last minute.

Cashed in all of my Gox holdings after Crypto went belly up.   Still an avid user, but just to accept funds from customers.    I do recall that annoying verification thing as well.  Great to have rules but their cutomer service responses seemed a bit uninformed and vague..... plenty of "we'll get back with you next week...." open ended answers.

yeah, mtgox seemed interesting for me have it their recent hold ups, but hopefully they'll be as consistent as before.
