Are you willing to use escrow? Escrow the fund for a month and if the VPS never go down during the one month period, escrow will release the fund.

You should ask him to create an account in Bitcointalk and you said you have been using his VPS for a while, so I assume you must already know about this. No?

Yes bitcoin is the only kind of payment, as for the rest just helping him out he has limited amount of spots at this price so really up to people but I have not had a problem with his service and will continue to use him just too good a deal.
