Plan for the New Year.
How to spread Bitcoin in 2016.
1. Download the zip or rar for a Desktop Bitcoin Wallet or zip one up yourself.
2. Email 100 people with a message about Bitcoin and the Wallet files.
3. In the email give links to information about Bitcoin, some for the absolute newbie and some more technical.
4. Explain how they can get started. Rather than talk about mining or faucets or whatever, tell them how you have used and gotten Bitcoins.
5. Tell them that whether they use the system or not to pass the email on to another 100 people.
There are a few issues with this simple "chain letter" based network, but it should get a good chunk of new users. Many times virus programs might target the new wallet if you zipped it yourself, but this will be rare.
Like most chain letters it will not expand as much as you think, but it only takes a minute and is great for the system. You can even offer to send a Satoshi or two once they have gotten set up.

Dude I can't stand people who send out silly chain e-mail crap like this. I'm not going to be that guy who does this. Aren't you the one who's starting an exchange outlined in that very unprofessional topic you started?

Yes, we are started an exchange and I am not asking you to use it for this purpose. I hate SPAM and letters like that too. We are not trying to start a chain of SPAM, just trying to get more people to, if nothing else, see what it is all about.

it's not a thing that us can do, it's a thing about merchants, you need to wait for it to happen naturally, when they will increase the limit on the block, i'm sure more merchants will accept it
also it has to do with regulation in many countries

I just send my friends and family to a website that teaches them what Bitcoin is, how it works, and step by step how to get started. Preferably mine.

I think most people will not even open these kind of emails, and certainly not click on links and unzip files. This won't help Bitcoin move forward, it will piss people off. It doesn't matter if the email comes from friends or family. No email can be trusted unless you are expecting an important email to come in. Even then people will double check everything. Also, people may report these kind of emails with Bitcoin as subject as being spam. Your actions will have opposite effect.

Talk to others unfamiliar with bitcoin over the holidays, show them how to use it practical, answer their question as good as you can. Dont force a conversation or bitcoin as a topic, if they dont bite after you tried 1-2 times, let it be. E-Mail spam is not going to convince anyone.
I guess you missed your chance, maybe next year.

No offense but to me that would lookk like a normal kind of chain letter/ soime sort of scam. we dont really want people associating biutcoin with scams since we get enough of it already. if i never suspected it to be a scam i would at the very least expect there to be some sort of virus in there. Thats just me though, maybe im paranoid.

This sounds like a spam to me and spamming is not a good way of advertising a certain program. This might just lead to suspicions on bitcoin coz people will assume spam messages were not safe. I think it will just cause a bad image on bitcoin. Sorry but I think this is not a good idea.

I don't think OP's all tactics will work completely to spread bitcoin to common fiat users. I feel they can use to take seminar about bitcoin to near by public places to make fame in bitcoin. We have to exhibit the bitcoin's features in any perfect place. Share about bitcoin in social networks like facebook, Twiiter and etc.

If we want to spread Bitcoin, we need to advertise it effectively. Even the word of mouth can do big things in spreading bitcoin, but, to spread bitcoin, we need to make it to be more recognized, like making more business accepting bitcoin will help spreading bitcoin very fast and effective.

gonna be honest I do think we need to spread the word in order for bitcoin to grow but half the things on your list would just annoy me and turn me off to something new. I usually stay away from anything that is advertised in those ways

Most likely the email will end up in the spam folder as google or other email servers have their own crawlers to scan for any words that is related to unsolicited emails. Not a good idea and may be reported as spamming.

I don't think dust amount of btc will get ppl interested at it! Probably 0.001BTC worth around 40 cents. You could spread the ppl around you! But it will be costly when doing this to thousands of ppl.

If you are a merchant accepting bitcoin. Then you can email your customers about the advantage of bitcoin and telling them that you accept bitcoin.

I think merchants play a bigger role then consumers. Why? Well simply if consumers find a lot of merchants accepting bitcon it will create awareness and people will be intrigued. Visiting the bitcoin.org website they will find so many advantages that they eventually will try it.

I think better way to increase user base or better to say involve more friends and family into bitcoin is offering them some bitcoin as gift if they open bitcoin wallet. This amount will be like tip but ask them to find out how and where they can spend those funds. Than after that they will better know about purchasing power bitcoin have.
