Hey guys, I was trawling around the forum and saw this -

SCAMMER:Manually applied by administration, regardless of post count and gets 5 red Xs under his name.

There are accounts with Xs instead of coins?! xD

Are these still in existence, or were they nuked?
Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Nope. They are not in existence.
They weren't nuked. The scammer tags were removed when the trust system was implemented.
Refer this thread.

Say, can anyone tell me when the scammer tags were removed?  I registered this account in March of last year and they were gone by then, but I remember seeing them when I was just lurking.  Seems like so long ago.  I kind of liked the old system.

Although the trust system has it's faults it is much better than the mods having to tag accounts.

Let's say a newbie signed up and wanted to buy some BTC he might fall for a scam just because the person he was dealing with hadn't been tagged as a scammer yet and made off with his cash.

Scammer tags were done away with quite a while ago. All of these accounts were given negative trust by an administration account called "OldScammerTag" that is on DefaultTrust. These accounts (as well as a few others) also have "hidden scammer tags" which prevent them from deleting posts, editing old posts, and deleting posts in self moderated threads they created.

I haven't seen anyone with that scammer tag the whole time I have been on this forum. Maybe they aren't giving these out anymore.

DT lists have their faults but I think they limit ass hope scammers a lot. The community is well protected by DT imo.
