had the same question -- turns out, for Avatar images or "Profile pics" you cannot upload them until you reach Full Member status (120 posts) and, that way, kind-of have earned your stripes...

Ohhhhhh. So it has to be on imgur.com. That is why I can never seem to upload a image on Bitcointalk. Thanks a lot.

This is because you are a Newbie member. You must be a Jr. Member (Achieved at 30 Activity) to post a picture in a thread.

If you're looking to paste an image on your screen on a post, I recommend Gyazo! It's really handy when I want to post a picture of something on my screen as I just click and drag and the URL form of the image pops up. I find this a lot easier than uploading to imgur and then posting the link, it's less time consuming.

This is because you are a Newbie member. You must be a Jr. Member (Achieved at 30 Activity) to post a picture in a thread.

In addition, you cannot embed the Imgur URLs as you are not linking to a picture. To get the picture URL right click on the picture its self and select 'Copy Image URL' or 'Copy Image Location'. Then put that URL between the two [img] tags.
In the example of your image, you would have the code [img]http://i.imgur.com/wfmgTNa.png[/img]. If you put that in your post and you had more than 30 activity, the image would display properly.

Also making 30 posts in one day doesn't mean anything,you'd probably get banned for doing that.Please take some time out to study how the forum works.You can proceed to beginners and help section and from there read stickies before posting things which have answered several times.That way,you could save yourself some time and let others too.
