There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I think salary in bitcoin would be a nice idea, though, the bitcoin sometimes goes through peaks and troughs in its equivalent fiat currencies. It would be a really nice thing for Bitcoin to be a mode of payment in real world too if its value gets more and more consistent or stabilised in relation with fiat currencies. Smiley

but the fluctuative characteristic of bitcoin make it harder to be accepted as main salary payment, just think when you bought 15BTC that you're planning to pay for your worker and the price suddenly go down about 50%

yeah bitcoin can't succed if  there is not a stability in the value because like you sad when you get your payment and it just got up at the time you receiving your payment and suddenly it goes down again before you cash in if you want to cash in

Agree with you two, paying salary with Bitcoin as a method is also more easier and secure way to pay your employee.

It depends on the country and for the people itslef.

First of all, salary are used in everyday purpose of a person once they received it. It's not meant for bitcoin related thing such as holding and trading. If a person accepts salary, it must be handed instantly in his own hands. With the lack of options (vary per country) about converting bitcoin in fiat, people will having a hard time to withdraw it instantly.

Keyword - 'in the future'. For now receiving your wage 100% in bitcoin is rather handicap - because you will have to exchange even small portion of it into FIAT as you can't live paying with bitcoin for everything.
Well, in theory you could (in some countries, or highly bitcoin friendly places like Isle of Man) but it is still sound like a challenge than real life choice.

hmmm,, I think that the work for the advertising service provider, I think they work hard to pay in the form of bitcoin, I, too, though not in the form of full-time, because I divide my time use, where during the day I look for real dollars and at night looking for bitcoin  Smiley

if your talking about a standard fiat job paying out in bitcoin instead.. the boss can buy and send the bitcoin on payday.. thus no medium term price issues.. as it takes 10 minutes.

as for people on a bitcoin salary contract. they would see the amount of bitcoin change from month to month. but that would still average out on payday as being the fiat value they consider fair.

in short
in 2012 i was getting 1btc an hour (~$6 or $8) now i only get 1btc a week... but im still happy

I think companies should have to give an option to their employees that if they want ,they can buy directly Bitcoin using their salary for a specific time period. In this way the employees can earn some extra money through their salary. Everyone want some extra money ,it's a best opportunity.

Although I'm into crypto I think that it's not really convenient because to buy something you have to turn bitcoins into fiat all the time. It's good to get bonuses in crypto not regular salary.

I wonder how are the wages calculated. considering the volatile nature of bitcoin, and the fact that you cannot use it as a currency 100% of the time effectively.

I didn't ever hear about any "normal" job paid with Bitcoin directly, like a manager or a doctor. But when I am thinking of such kind of full time job nothing comes on my mind besides a signature campaign manager. I don't know how much do they actually earn, but I suppose this money are enough to not work anywhere else.
