I would have to put the value of Bitcointalk at around 37,500 BTC at this time. There is a lot more potential for the site and I do not think it is being used to its full potential. There are parts of Bitcoin that I think need corrected, but it is not my place to say.

What makes u derive to this specific figure ? There is a lot more potential for the site and I do not think it is being used to its full potential.
What are the potentials that are not being used in your opinion ? There are parts of Bitcoin that I think need corrected, but it is not my place to say.
Parts of Bitcoin or BitcoinTalk ?

No website 'valuation' service has the slightest clue, even more so in this particular case. It would appeal to a small pool of buyers and they would need some vision so it would be a bitch to value. I'm not in the market myself. Too many head aches for me.

I would be interested, just curious really to know some approximate revenue figures. I know forums don't do really well so many here are talking about figures I'm not sure are very practical. Anyone know what a forum like this makes in a month or so in the current state? Hope I'm not asking something too confidential hehe.

If you multiply that for 3 years worth of revenue which is very generous that would be 1080 BTC. I think something around 1000-2000 BTC would be fair. So I very much agree with ETFbitcoin basically.

I think this forum is priceless or we don't have the digit to give this site a value to be sold and if it get ever sold to new owners or groups than i doubt it to sustain. How this forum has let other users to get paid for their contribution in forum without risking the sustainability of the forum is quite amazing. And all users including me like to appriciate how well this forum is maintained focusing more on users rather than site's profit.

Yes I think we can all agree on that, but we are just trying to answer the main question. If I were the owner I would not sell it for the amount I gave. I didn't even took into consideration the monthly expenses for maintaining it (server, developers, etc). Buying something that isn't even for sale would be much more expensive of course.

1000 BTC ($430,000) for now, but with modern UI that people want & more advertising, bitcointalk.org could worth up to 12500 BTC ($5,375,000) But some website (site price worth website) said bitcointalk.org had value about $300,000 to $1,200,000. As he just spent $2,000,000 on new forum software, you might need to offer more. fun fact: the guys/company who are programming the new forum software, didn't even had a website when they got the order.

Bitcointalk is priceless, however I think people would pay upwards of 1500BTC for it.
Doubt Theymos would ever sell it though, this site is where Bitcoin was born; nobody would sell it if they owned it. I also don't think Theymos would ever have to sell it, he has a LOT of Bitcoin and is very wealthy.

Bitcoin was not born on bitcointalk. It was first announce on mailing list. The first forum was on sourceforge. Then it was at forum.bitcoin.org. Then it came to its current domain. Theymos was not the original owner of it. He was given the charge and he built it to its current form.
