i wanna what i need to do to become a form of this kind of forum moderator.
i really need to gain some money to support my daily lives, if moderator has wages, it could be suitable for me to work in here.

any advice? Huh

out of ability to use the signature, i want a new ban strike policy that will fade the strike after 90~120 days of the ban and not to be traced back, like google | email me for anything urgent, message will possibly not be instantly responded
i am not really active for some reason

I don't know but I think that kind of reason won't get you to the moderator staff. Maybe you should be trusted and responsible and reliable.

i am responsible sometimes, i am active in the bitcoin forum all the time.
i am not that reliable, but at least i could help/assist something here in bitcoin forum.

If you want to be a mod then you have to put in the time and work and report a lot of posts with a decent level of accuracy so the admins know you're qualified for the job but I really wouldn't set out to be a mod as you'll likely be wasting your time or setting yourself up for disappointment. Asking to be a mod and because you want to get paid is usually the wrong way to go about it too. If you want more money from this forum join a better signature campaign or offer some services in the Marketplace.

If you have to ask you are doing it wrong already. This is mostly a thankless job (community wise) and you are going to be hated upon by bad actors. If you really have to know all it takes is having a high amount of reported posts and a high accuracy (correctly reported posts). In order to stand out ATM you need to have a few thousand reported posts. Even then this is not a guarantee because right now (from my point of view) there is no need for patrollers, not to mention moderators. There are usually 0 or < 5 reports to handle.

There is also this:
i am not that reliable

i really need to gain some money to support my daily lives, if moderator has wages, it could be suitable for me to work in here.
Get a real job. Moderators here do not get paid, they get rewarded for their contributions. You can't even earn minimum wage this way because some a very active (e.g. CyrusV, Mitchell, Lauda).

got it, however, did you get paid for doing so? ???
i need to build up more reputation on this forum now, see ya.
Your reputation does not play a role at all. I had none when I joined the start and still have none.

got them. Sad
i would still be interested to be a mod even if without any wage, in fact.
i would have gotten a real job already if i had enough time.

There is no wage anyways as I've already stated. You could only maybe tell theymos to opt-out of receiving the bonuses but I doubt that anyone has done that (why would they?). However, I've already told you that there is no need for additional "workforce" since there is not enough work ATM.

i would have gotten a real job already if i had enough time.
So what makes you think that being a moderator does not require a lot of time?

I think you need some connections with the admins and nothing else. The staff gets paid 25% of the ad revenues according to theymos .You can pull of some coins a month if you are good with them ..thats the tip.

How many posts have you reported with what percentage of accuracy? How many scams have you successfully exposed? Do you know how trusts in forum works? How positively you're contributing to the forum? I saw your previous posts and you don't seem serious about your forum account. If you want to earn money, get a real job.

This is false. I was a random to theymos the day that he accepted me.

You can pull of some coins a month if you are good with them ..thats the tip.
It depends on the contributions. The only way to get a decent sum of money would be to either be a global (and still be very active) or be a very active patroller. In either case you might be better off with a minimum wage job if money is the issue.

But he is not into it just to be a mod but to earn money and that needs connections ,of course.

I don't know that but he says it in every ad auction. However making a couple of coins a month is far away from decent ,is it ? I believe an average staff guy doesn't makes more than that .

You are only 14, you can really learn a lot if you just go to the services where there is a thread about udemy courses.
I don't think the bitcointalk.org will entrust someone to a 14 year old.  but why aim for a moderator when you can be an administrator, you can create your own forum is you like. try going to forumboard of forum owners. visit the smf forum or mybb forum itself.

I was a mod on a busy webmaster forum. It's a lot of work, and you have to visit the boards several times a day. You also get a lot of criticism and bad press, because a lot of things are outside your control. Some of your decisions will be unpopular as well. Unless being a mod helps you with some of your associated projects, forget it. Smiley

If you are talking about Bitcoins with the 'a couple of coins' then you are wrong. The ad revenue (part used for mod payments) is actually split in $ and then the Bitcoin equivalent is sent to everyone depending on the contributions. Even if one becomes a patroller and is very active, one could earn more with a minimum wage job.

Even though age does not really matter that much (depending on the job) I think that it might be too early (even if he did fit the criteria). However, I don't recall theymos ever asking me or the other moderators about the age.

John K. was a forum moderator and was handling escrows, keeping ~1000 BTC for the forum when he was 21, depends on how trusted(not as in rating) you are. @OP you can't be a moderator /thread

Well age can be "derived" from behavior , but if we were to follow that I'd be a "kid in my mom's basement" I guess.  Tongue

I meant exactly that by a couple of coins but i don't see what is wrong there ? i just missed the exchange part which is of no use cause eventually its btc.I think people who are interested and share interests on forums (either this or any general one) are suitable to become mods and that money is just a bonus. But here at bitcointalk you have an opportunity to become one because of the language barrier and this being a global forum. So lottery still has a chance for his local section same like lauda ,if he is good.

Then your assumption is wrong. Moderators and patrollers do not earn a couple of coins because that would imply that they "earn" more than $1k a month. As far as being a local moderator goes, currently the chances are slim because all sections have at least 1.
