10 minutes per block on average, it can vary. 35 minutes is nothing.

Im not really here, its just your imagination.

We cannot control block time. What we can do is to include required fees to get the tx confirmed in the next block. I have to say 35 minutes block time is rare.

And maybe the next few blocks are mined after 1 minute or something.

Block finding time is set to avarage out to 10 minutes, if it takes longer or shorter, the difficulty will adjust after 2 weeks. That is how they maintain an avarage of 10 minutes.

Unfortunately an avarage also means there can be deviations from the avarage value.

So? Nothing surprising here. Recently (depending on how often you read reddit/other sources) there was a event where in a 2 hour period (I think) the block generation was 2x than usual. The system has to compensate sometimes. It depends on luck in addition to the high increases of hashrate (that we've also seen recently) before the difficulty adjusts.

35 minutes is nothing.

I've waited 1 hour and 10 minutes for a block once, and it was for a bet. I went to sleep, and when I woke up, I realised I lost the bet. Worst way to wake up.

The difficulty is adjusted every week, and some people might start/stop mining, so the blocks might take longer, or shorter. It's also random, so someone can hash the correct nonce first try, or after 3 hours

The blocks are found randomly, it might be 1 minute or 1 hour, ony the average time is 10 minutes.

We dont need faster blocks, as altcoins with 1 minute blocks (on average) can take sometimes 10 or more minutes anyway, what is necessary is having significant trust your incoming 0 confirmation transaction become confirmed sonner or later anyway (having little chance of double spend by sender)

Some people still don't understand that blocks might take much longer to be found than 10 minutes. The 10 minute time is just an example for average block times. I some times have to wait 50 minutes for 1 block to be mined, and the next time I only have to wait 20 minutes for 3 blocks to be mined. It can widely vary.

It ain't just limited to finding a block, but finding a genesis block, there are Orphans too due to which it takes time if 2 - 3 orphans come in a row...
Nothing to worry about...

If you compare bitcoin confirmation times with bank transference that takes from 1 to 3 days, waiting 35 minutes or some times up to 2 hours isn't a big problem. And normaly takes near 10 minutes to find a block.

Normally it takes 10 minutes but it may take longer or faster depending on various factors. Wait till the next Stress Test aka spam attack and then you'll see what slow really means.

This is a period when a plenty of new mining equipment is deployed, so the blocks are actually faster than usual. This will last until the difficulty adjusts.

I'm not certain, but I think the record was 8 hours 34 minutes 44 seconds between block number 27 and block number 28.

Block 27: 2009-01-10 06:56:13
Block 28: 2009-01-10 15:30:57
