the most secure solution is to download a torrent of the latest block(helps speed things up) and use bitcoinQT. but route the QT client through tor.

They can't do it without knowing private keys

Yeah TORWallet hasn't been allowing any withdrawals now for a long while. There's a bunch of people that've been scammed.

Relevant (from another thread):

The hosting provider where TORWallet.net is hosted (which is also the domain registrar/reseller) will consider a takedown request, but my takedown request was denied because I personally am not a party (I never used TORWallet, was not scammed).

So, if anyone is willing to contact the hosting provider to assert that fraud is occurring, please PM me and I will provide the e-mail address for the hosting provider.

I've had one person contact me so far but the hosting provider receiving multiple first-hand accounts might not hurt.

Also Electrum supports Tor and slush runs an Electrum hidden-server (in addition to regular server access via exit nodes). I'd consider opening a hidden-service on mine if there was demand for more redundancy. It's simple enough to configure.

It's just a bad idea to trust an anonymous service with money or private keys.

Meanwhile, WalletBit is still the longest running eWallet service, operating since July 2011. We are not anonymous and make no effort to hide our identities. Asking to be anonymous while holding onto your money or private keys should be a red flag to anyone.
