My account statistics aren't updating. Need help.

Hi,

I'm using GUIMiner and I have my worker username and password setup. I've been mining for the last 24 hours. The application says I have 1696 shares, but when I check my account page on the website it doesn't show that I've been doing anything. How or when does this update? Have I just wasted the last 24 hours, what's going on?

Any insight on this matter will be greatly appreciated.

The million dollar question: Where are you mining at?

Had on old version of GUIMiner like a fool. So it wasn't using the proper slush address.
