machiene is not important, you need just the psu and a small computer or raspberry to control everything via web gui

for 1200watt you need something good like corsair 1200, maybe you can fit it with some undervolt or udnerclock, or 1250 from seasonic

i would avoid cheap psu they tend to be not reliable in the long term

Also, do the math before you buy it. Mining diff jumps 20-30% each month and home mining profits re really weak, taking this into consideration.

I simply do not want you to lose money so do your calculations before you get into mining.

If your current OS is windwos then you should not worry about it, about other things it is not important you can even have a very cheap computer to run your S7 but as Amph said a rasperry pi would do it job.

A computer is not needed other then setup.  SO you don't need a RPI or any other special computer to use with S7.

You can use your regular laptop/desktop and set the settings on the S7.  After there it should mine and you will see it when setting it up.  But after set up you just need to check it's still going.  And you don't need a computer 24x7 to do this.
