Well it depends on your definition of Happiness. Do you want happiness to be ever lasting? Than Love is necessary for happiness, because Money can't bring you happiness for a long term. Money is only a short term happiness package.

For me, both of them are necessary for happiness of life. Life without love is nothing because our life is more meaningful because of that. Love can bring joy, happiness and make us to appreciate each other. We can share our love to each other and change their day become meaningful and important memories. But, in our life of course we need money. Money is not everything in our life but life without money is nothing. With money sometimes we can buy happiness and make other people happy and their needs fulfill.
