I think there are two types of happiness :

Transient happiness
and
Permanent happiness

Now you can gain transient happiness by all the mentioned things like money, love, family ...

but it be an on and off sense of joy with won't last long. I believe the eternal source for happiness is inside, we have a short time in this life, like in a game, we need to decrypt the mystery of life, like Buddha or Rumi. It can be love, or compassion, or something of that sort, I am not there yet to know.. but that gives us the ultimate happiness and peace and then we can level up.

For me I would say the secret of happiness is living with simple life together with my love ones. Less material things, more love to your fellowmen.
