You have to be willing to put the money into it in order to make from it.  If you aim for a 1% rake for the first startup of it and then take back to 3%, you have a better chance of making it work.

Since the house always wins overall, you can make a lot of money if you get users/customers to visit the site.  Advertising is important but also the quality of the site and make sure it is very user friendly.

You need to first see if you are being realistic in what you are expecting to receive? It all depends on how much you put into it.  You need to make sure you are properly advertising.  The more people you get into the site the better off you are.  Even if you do not make anything the first few months, you need to give them a reason to come to your site.

This is incorrect.  You will make the profit because the system is set up so that they loose, just only a small percentage compared to the payouts.  For example, they may bet 100 BTC and only loose .005 BTC after playing over 1,000 hangs/games.  You just need the large numbers so that you can make that .005 off of everyone.

It's impossible to say how much you will make, but the internet has made many people rich. Depends how much effort you put into it and you won't know until you actually take the steps to do it. You should definitely start with the laws around gambling in your jurisdiction, next step would be the multiple layers of security required and then you have to figure out how big you can get. After all putting so much into that steady income stream, it's usually pointless to sell it.
