I agree, Banks won't dissapear. They will adapt to the changes. There is the chance that smaller banks might dissapear but the large ones won't.

More likely they will create their own blockchains or tokens. Just look at what Putin's minister is suggesting, for a government to create their own digital currency (ruble). Mainstream economy will adapt to and or adopt the new technologies, but as in most cases there will be the stragglers that will be left behind.

I don't really think so. Maybe a lot of people may use bitcoins but banks can adjust on the currency of what are people using..

Lightning Network is coming and that has these things the development team is trying to
sell us as hubs but they are banks and will be charging us fees

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2680315.new#new

What again was you saying about banks disappearing because they will be
multiplying like rabbits if you ask me and the BTC development team will
be running them and calling themselves miners

$45 just to process 250 bytes of data is a total joke but maybe a few more
flashing lights and extra buttons on the slot machine will make you all think
that the chances of winning has increased even if it's going down.

Mining is CPU-wars and Intel, AMD like it nearly as much as big oil likes miners wasting electricity. Is this what mankind has come too.

That is unlikely. I think bitcoin can not make the bank disappear. The bank has many benefits mk bitcioin does not have. Bitcoin only thrives in a short time, it's not popular yet, there are still a lot of people who do not know bitcoin.

yes, Bitcoin can beat Banks and make all banks disappear. Bitcoin systems is more powerful than banks and also provides more facility during BTC transactions. So people love more BTC than banks.

in my opinion, BANK can not be vanished by bitcoin. we know all that the BANK is controlled by a government, and if something bad happens to the BANK, then the government will definitely respond. while bitcoin, this is not controllable, if BANK is replaced with bitcoin, who will be responsible if something bad happens to bitcoin !!!

Making banks get disappeared is not simple. From the observation I understood the banks might increase their technological development, else banks which adapt bitcoin technology would come into existence.

In my opinion the current bitcoin system and shape can not completely make banks disappear or change the economical system in such a way, I think they may coexist together and each cover a part of the financial field.

It seems that experts say that Bitcoin 'Here to Stay,' But Banks Could Disappear.

"TheStreet: How do you think FinTech will impact the way banks operate?

Frank Schwab: Banks either react on, or they will disappear. Anyway, the consolidation of the banking industry accelerates as the behaviour of people changes. Some banks will benefit from [FinTech], some will be pushed to the back end, and some will disappear."

Banks are subject to regulations but governmetns are not directly controlling private banks. If you talk about government banks and some central banks, this might be true. Bitcoin cannot be controlled by the central powers and that's why they fear it.

exactly the reason BTC was created.  I always feared that regulations would creep up on it though..... time will tell.  not stoked that it's now on a futures exchange on wall street

I think not, because the bank officially signaled the ban on its citizens on Bitcoin investments. the bank says its statements are for people to stay away from both the system and the investment in bitcoin, and there are still many people who do not know about bitcoin what's the point for the future.

They don't ban bitcoins, they just warn the public about investing on bitcoin related investment.
Bitcoin is not an investment actually because it's a means for online transaction but because people believe its value will become
bigger in the future, they hold bitcoin since it has limited supply.

im sure it can...but it will take a long time to make bank dissapear...
but make sure that all people know what is btc...in my country just a less people know bitcoin...

I think that banks are scared because most of the people are investing on bitcoins rather than placing their money on the banks, But it is true that profit is much better on bitcoin depending on the season. Banks will really disappear if most of the people will decide to focus on bitcoins but it will take a very long time in order to make this things happen.

Lightning Network is just a wrapper for Bitcoin network. Something external. It need a huge banking-hubs. In fact, Lightning Network is the banking.

Bitcoin can make banks disappear. Banks only get a big problems about the bitcoins because imagine if all the people invest to the bitoin so that few people save on the banks. If the banks create a new strategy like adopt the bitcoin system for example like change the bitoin to fiat or banks atm machine can withdraw bitcoin already convert to the real money.

When the bitcoin profits are so big, the whole of people will withdraw money from the bank to collapse the bank, which is why the bitcoin is so hot, I still think if there is no bitcoin then there will be Other investment channels are better, because bitcoin is not unique, only one batch of bitcoin fork produces a new bitcoin.
