there are way too many stories out there about satoshi. Personally i believe that he died, otherwise he was bound to show himself atleast once in the last couple years, maybe even log into his forum account to show that he exists.can't because theymos locked it. he'll have to PM theymos with PGP message to get it back. and yes, there's too many stories about satoshi and many more will pop out once bitcoin is more well known. and only satoshi can stop it.

That is really weird and people still thinking Satoshi is a person but i don't think he is a single person, from my point of view Satoshi is code name for this project and a group of scientists behind the this revolutionary project.

I think it's just satire about Wired releasing the story of Craig Wright being Satoshi, and in general newspapers claiming they've found satoshi and repeatedly screwing up on their so called investigations. They will never learn, so I can't wait to see who satoshi is in 2016.

You never know they are a lot of theories who Satoshi Nakamoto is. We don't know his lifestyle so we don't know if he is doing well or not.

This seems more like a homeless awareness article than about Satoshi. Actually a clever way to call out to techies in SF to look around and be aware of the homeless, it might be Satoshi. It is true that only a small fraction of people in San Francisco notice the homeless - same goes for Seattle and Portland. I don't see the article as trolling rather it is satire addressing the homeless mess.

This looks more like a article shining the light on the need to acknowledge homeless people than actual proof that they found him. I think it's a tongue in the cheek poking at people, highlighting the interest and need for acknowledgement of these people. I have spoken to many homeless people ranging from clerks to doctors, who made mistakes in their lives or suffer from substance abuse problems. I will not write off the possibility that Satoshi might have freaked out, when Gavin spoke to the authorities and then joined this group to fade away in the shadows.

yeah right the first is not expandable, so they should ask for the second block, which i'm sure still belongs to satoshi
again blocks dont sign... transaction ADDRESSES do EG first ADDRESS ever: 12c6DSiU4Rq3P4ZxziKxzrL5LmMBrzjrJX this https://blockchain.info/block-height/1 cannot sign this https://blockchain.info/block-height/1 cannot sign this 12c6DSiU4Rq3P4ZxziKxzrL5LmMBrzjrJX can so if they said 'satoshi' signed the first transaction address.. then they would atleast smell like they know something well it's obvious that i meant the address and not the block, when i say block i mean the address associated to the second block, not the block itself

I disagree. I can see your point and I understand that you have reasons to think so but if it was a group than at least one of them would reveal himself already to the media. That's the nature of a man in the contemporary world: he can't miss a chance to be famous and popular. But if it is a one person then maybe he is exception. A whole group can't consist of exceptions.

It is a good read and a terrible satire on what sometimes happens to great names...
"To our surprise, Satoshi Nakamoto is not anonymous. That is his real name. He was born in Japan and immigrated to the UK when he was five years old. He later got a PhD in cryptography from Cambridge, and did two postdocs in Europe before arriving at Stanford as an Assistant Professor. In 2007, after five years of professorship, he was denied tenure, and has been living on the streets of San Francisco since then. He had to dumpster dive for laptops thrown away by startup companies to design and build bitcoin. He never intended to hide is identity, but since he became homeless, he has become invisible to 99% of the population. Only a small fraction of people notice the homeless people in San Francisco."
it leaves some thoughtful points to think about.

I don't think it was a group of people, if that was true, someone would have blabbered out something by now, not everyone has the ability to stay silent when so much is going on. He's a single person, faked his name to protect his identity and went underground to protect himself and his loved ones.

Not only that it is dated 2017. I actually feel I wasted my time reading that. If anything it was in bad taste to highlight the plight of homelessness.

Well, if there was a sliver of truth to this I would be more inclined to read it, but judging by the comments this would just be a waste of time.

After opening the article I am lucky enough to read first the comment in this thread. Still I read the article because it sounds interesting but this is most likely not true. The Australian guy claiming they made btc is more believable
