You do realize that the main selling point he has on this account is the fact that the UID is below 10k, which has been brought up multiple times in the discussion as to whether or not it was worth the price solely based on that.

Areyouserious is right. As escrow I would take the coins you pay into escrow so that the seller can provide you the account without fearing that you would not pay.

However in the case of bitcointalk forum accounts I do some checks to make sure that the buyer receives a correct account. I listed these checks here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1362297
