It's official. After months and months of hard work and dedication, it's time to let this go out of my hands. There are 3 main reasons. For one, I simply cannot handle it financially. I was working with budgets of under 1 BTC the entire time, attempting to promote DustDice's greatness to the best of my abilities, time, and skills. After countless attempts at a loan, I decided to live on, and simply work with what I have. Second is the main reason I am selling. I feel like this kind of business is not my kind of business. I am religious, no not muslim or anything. According to my religion, along with myself, I don't think it's right I ever got lured into buying a casino. It's wrong to be doing anything with it, nevermind making money off it. Sure it's a business, but simply not one I want to be involved in. And last but not least, I simply do not have enough time to be taking on a project like this. Albeit there is not much time needed to run it, I am extremely eager to use the money coming out of this sale to fund my upcoming ideas that are not related to gambling.

Base Price: 8 BTC
End Date: 1/20/2016 @ 12:00 AM GMT

This is a silent auction. PM me bids along with the address, or some sort of valid proof you have the BTC. If outbid at any moment, you will receive a PM notifying you of that. No amounts will be shared until the auction is over. I have the right to deny you the ability to bid if I feel the future of this website is put at a high risk in your hands, or if I deem you an unserious bidder.

Both can be described in the thread. I've owned DustDice longer than 2 months, December 24th marks the day MoneyPot transferred ownership (which went surprisingly smooth actually). I hope that explains it Smiley.

Good luck with the auction! A lot of work and love has gone into this product.

If anyone is interested, you can see the full stats before the moneypot ownership transition:
https://mp.bustabit.com/full-stats.json

(DustDice had 2801.6017 BTC wagered,  and made a net 7.09650729 BTC in comissions)

Check out gamblingsitefinder.com for a decent list/rankings of crypto casinos. Note: I have no affiliation or interest in it, and don't even agree with all the rankings ... but it's the only uncorrupted review site I'm aware of.

Has Moneypot been slower since the new owners have taken over? It seems like a lot of these apps have been for sale since that happened.

That's what I've been seeing. Some seem like they don't have any bets placed for hours on end at a time.

Not necessarily. Just still in that transition phase where investors are withdrawing from the old one, putting into new one, etc. Apps aren't affected much, they're still running the same as before. All should be good within weeks' time.

Other apps may be for sale but my reason is no other than for what is described in the first post.

Volume has been a little lower than the old MoneyPot, we had an issue with 2FA (where there server time was off, thus people couldn't log in) that resulted in very low volume for a few days. Since we have fixed the issue we are back to hitting over 100 BTC a day in wagered volume. Also bear in mind that 40% of the old MoneyPot volume came from a single player, who has only wagered ~29 BTC on the new site, without that player old MoneyPot averaged ~3800 BTC a month in volume, based on our more recent numbers we are on track to hit a bit over ~3,000 BTC a month.

The bankroll size has likely played a role in this as well, our bankroll is ~1/5 the size of the old one, several old investors have not returned. It has been brought to our attention that some of the older investors seem to think we paid pennies on the dollar for MoneyPot and thus don't have skin in the game, this is not the case, we actually paid quite a bit more than the opening bid for MoneyPot. A few of the older investors also said they plan on reinvesting after seeing how the site does without them. We have a few things in the pipeline that should help increase the max bet size for players over the next couple months.

As far as the quantity of app's going on sale: While it might appear that a lot of app owners are all of a sudden selling their site, the app owners that are selling have been planning on doing so for sometime. Ray has been looking into selling (or getting a loan) for Dust Dice for a couple months now, and BetterBets was considering selling for a few months as well.

We will be launching our new thread in the gambling section soon that will have more details for players/investors/app owners.

Hope this cleared a few things up  Smiley

I've tried a loan. I'm sad to have to resort to selling since nobody wanted to take the win-win opportunity.

Bitcoin is low. I cannot change anything so the base price is a better deal for the buyer at this time.

It's a silent auction, I cannot reveal that information unless you bid, and then you will find out.
