i got that idea from a project on here, but i did it my self on a piece of stainless steel plate that i had.

This is very stupid.  Anyone can find your stainless steel.  You could lose your stainless steel.  Horrible.


Better idea is to Google a copy of the New York Times on your birthday.  Then, use the text of the headline story.  Use your social security number, for example 652-75-2386.  Take the sixth word, then the fifth word after that, then the second word after that, then the seventh word after that....  That is your set of keywords that forms a personal seed.  

You'll never forget your social security number - or birthday.  This will assure your key exists only in your head.  You have access to it anytime you want.  Nobody else could possibly arrive at this combination of words which has no relationship with anything.  

Total perfect security.  

Only you have forever access to your Bitcoins.

You can just write them on a piece of paper, or engrave them in pieces of wood around your house, and then have a map of their order:D

USB keys are small enough to be easily hidden in places when no one would find them (for example a safe). And even if someone found one of them, they would still need to decrypt it. If you're paranoid, you could even place a copy of the encrypted seed in a safe deposit box at a bank.

Take your seed words and write a poem with it.For the seed words use a slightly different font so that you still detect the right words after several years. And put this poem in a nice picture frame and place it on a wall somewhere in the living room or so.
