i got that idea from a project on here, but i did it my self on a piece of stainless steel plate that i had.
This is very stupid. Anyone can find your stainless steel. You could lose your stainless steel. Horrible.
Better idea is to Google a copy of the New York Times on your birthday. Then, use the text of the headline story. Use your social security number, for example 652-75-2386. Take the sixth word, then the fifth word after that, then the second word after that, then the seventh word after that.... That is your set of keywords that forms a personal seed.
You'll never forget your social security number - or birthday. This will assure your key exists only in your head. You have access to it anytime you want. Nobody else could possibly arrive at this combination of words which has no relationship with anything.
Total perfect security.
Only you have forever access to your Bitcoins.
Put encrypted copies of your seed on many usb keys/storage drives and place these in different geographical locations.
Completely dumb. People can find these. You could lose these. Why subject your fortune to such possible corruptions? Very risky exposure.
