everything is possible, we just need bitcoin to succeed to see 1 bitcoin get a value of at least $100k. it might take 30 more years, if not longer. house prices vary, some houses cost around $50k and others $200k. the cheaper the house is, the sooner you can buy a house with just 1 bitcoin.

It's all ore nothing, BTC goes to $0 ore atleast $100k. We all going to find that out within 5-10-15 years. Follow the news regularly, as far i know Blockchain is going to get big.

I'm sure there are many many many houses in Detroit that you can but for 1BTC or less...
I saw many houses there for sale for only $1 so you could buy a LOT of Detroit houses for 1BTC but then you have to pay texes on them..
That's the catch..

And that is the problem with bitcoin. We don't know how it will scale. It is first time we are dealing with digital currency with perfect anti counterfeit system - blockchain. It depends how people would value that amazing tool. I wish I am wrong, but I predict that we won't see ever 1 bitcoin valued so high to buy you a house. |

you need a value of 50k at least for a small house, and 100k for a big one for villa much more of course
so i would say, wait until the prediction of satoshi will come true, which mean 2030
Depends where you are, in london 100k won't even buy you a parking spot let alone a villa  i know that a villa cost 1M at leats, but with 100k you can by a nice house here, but usually if you can not it also mean that you are earning more so the thing are on the same ratio |

If lets say a house cost 500.000 dollars I think we still need a lot of time to reach that price.
In one to three years I think we will just reach at 2000 dollar I don't spec a big jump.
If I was you just collect so much bitcoin as you can and trade for a house when you have enough.

I doubt one Bitcoin will ever buy even a cheap ass house. We will be lucky if we get back to ath in 3 years. There will be competing better alternatives coming that will eat the market share of BTC.

Some country you can buy a house so cheap, but is also really small. The best way to buy a house with bitcoins if if you have collecting a lot of it and to be lucky that bitcoin can increase to 1500 dollars. So yeah I think later we can buy a house for just maybe 100 bitcoins in the future. |

As we can see by the replies in the thread people live in various spots where housing costs different. In th UK housing is expensive and small i do see it possible in about 5-10 years though providing we stay on this trend. |

I think it's very unlikely that the price will increase to those levels in the next 3 years, not saying that it's completely impossible. Perhaps in the next 5 to 10 years or so, but that would still be very unlikely.

Way longer than three years. A decent house is worth $250k at least. I'm talking 3 bedrooms and all that. It will take way longer for bitcoin to grow to that extend.
It will take decades, who knows, you might not even be here to see this happen.

at least bitcoin prices could touch $100k so you can trade houses with 1 bitcoin. but I think bitcoin is not possible to touch $100k despite the next 10-20 years

I don't think it will be a couple of years for that to happen. It will take a very long time for bitcoin to achieve that high of an amount.
It will maybe take 10 years for you to be able to buy a house with 1 bitcoin, maybe even more, I wouldn't be surprised if bitcoin would be worth only 10k in 10 years.

7 years = 0-400 USD +7 years = 400-160000 USD so the answer is ... 14 years after 2009, you can buy a house for 1 BTC. its just a simple prediction ...im not sure that btc will be that high 14 year aftr 2009... anyway its depend what kind of house...if the house really small maybe we can buy with 1 btc..but how about the house is like a castle or hotel... its impossible with 1 btc... |

neighborhood that is just picket fence and hardworking parents, maybe sometime like that at LEAST 5-10 years.

The average price for a detached house in vancouver is like $2 million dollars. i think no one here want to have that kind of house, we are talking more about a residence here, apartment mostly, you can find one for cheap easily if bitcoin reach 100k the problem is that you then need to sustain all the cost, so you need to have more money, to pay bills and everything else |

I'm not sure how much houses costs where do you live , but here you can get more then a decent apartment for like 80k $ , Now the question is .. can bitcoin reach that amount ? . It's likely to happen ? definitely not but everything can happens so we can expect everything on the next 20 years . 80k is pretty little. Where I live, it is at least double that price for a decent apartment. Bitcoin is never going to reach that price. |
