Basically I have a 4870 when i'm currently using a 6970 is it possible to use the 4870 and the 6970 to on the same machine for bitcoin or will this cause problems? Using win 7.

It would be fine.  Just remember (on Windows), you'll need a dummy plug, or need to switch which card your monitor is hooked up to to start mining on your second card.

I have 2 monitors so this should not be a problem, thanks for the help Smiley
