Damn i don't know about that informatioin. But still it's make panic man. the bitcoin price down from 430++ into $300++. and i hope the bitcoin price will go up again up to 400++. It is normal price action after the recent rise. The bitcoin will consolidate here and rise in the next month. |

i just saw the price today after checking this thread wow cant believe i was about to sale some and 80$ down from 1 bitcoin over one night
still wont be any problem i have seen worse times and looks like its already rising up again in no time probably good time for buyers

It always happens following some bad news and this time there were 2 but it will recover in time. Right now fudsters are having a ball, non stop threads of "its dead" but as OP said, Bitcoin died a lot of time in the past, still here we are. |

will there be a special party when bitcoin reaches its 100th death milestone? it's just funny how people think bitcoin is going to die just because of some one ranting about bitcoin. at least it gave us the opportunity to buy some cheap coins.

There were such kind of news always but, as I remember or know (don't pretend to fully informed), never so serious that this time. Never were written such big probable problems of bitcoin (as a product) and even such kind of divergences within the team of core developers of it. It was well know their divergence about the block size but this is only a problem. From the writing of Mike Hearn emerge a situation big of problems and deep divergences (which made him to leave the development of bitcoin after 5 years work on its team) which for sure can be reflected even at the actual situation and the future of bitcoin. The first sign is already happen. The drop of price of it in such amount within very few days is a direct result of this situation. Even for the moment the drop seems stopped everything told by Mike Hearn may cause even a more late consequence. It is not me who has talked or write but a 5 year developer of it. Let's hope that bitcoin will have the power to survive even this last attack. |

I wish I would have known these things when I was new, but I quickly googled. When I first bought there was a dramatic drop afterward and I certainly questioned everything. But after that drop the price went up 60%. I almost sold everything. Thankfully I googled a lot and found Reddit and this forum to calm my fears. |

Price drop is a good news for others who have huge cash to shell out to buy those cheap coins. but the for the unfortunate few, they will sell cheap to save their losses..

Well I'm not sure if this was a funeral really, to me was a total understandable price drop after Mike Hearn's declaration on top of other China related issues we all know. It can become something larger (compared to the bubble in 2013) if the price start to drop below $300 or more so we should be on the lookout.
Many are thinking this is a great time to buy but I don't know if we've seen the floor yet, we should wait a couple of weeks and wait for the storm to pass.
